You can use a razor-sharp pair of scissors to cut the fabric, always ensuring that you allow an inch overlap where the cut ends meet, for better coverage. The weed fabric can go right onto the ground or over the sub-base to provide a firm foundation for paths or slab. Handling
To lay the fabric around existing plants:
- Cut a slit into the material from the nearest corner and thrust it into place around the plant’s main stem.
- Dig a bigger hole if required to ensure no pressure on the plant.
To add plants after laying the fabric:
- Taking a sharp craft knife, cut a large enough ‘X’ into the fabric on each place to fit in plants.
- Tuck the tails back and drill a hole employing a hand trowel.
