Type 1 clips are recommended for flat profile thin leading edge interlocking tiles.
Type 2 clips are recommended for flat profile standard interlocking tiles.
As per BS 5534:
- All perimeter tiles must be mechanically fixed at least twice
- All single-lap (interlocking) tiles must be mechanically fixed at least once with a nail or a clip
